What is Breathwork and Pranayama?
Breathwork is an incredibly powerful method for releasing suppressed emotions, trauma and stagnated energy from the physical, emotional and psychological aspects of our being. By highly oxygenating the cells of our body and flooding the system with pranic life-force, we purifiy the system, restoring balance to mind, body and spirit.
Pranayama is the ancient yogic techniques from India. Prana meaning Life Force, with Yama meaning control, or indeed, beyond control. Breathwork consists of more modern techniques with a scientific approach - both approaches grounded in the same principles of supporting greater health, wellbeing and insight.
The breathing exercises are easy to follow, yet have a profound impact on your life. Many scientific studies have proven benefits like: stress reduction, insomnia prevention, balancing the nervous system, emotional healing, as well as physical benefits, like pain relief and improved immunity.
Beyond this, the techniques can naturally and quickly bring you into a state of peace and tranquility - taking you effortlessly into a meditative state of being.
We take over 23000 breaths every day - as we begin to use these techniques, we breath more life into our full potential; living from a place of balance, vitality and greater awareness.
One to One Breathwork Sessions:
James offers one to one sessions online and in-person.
Creating bespoke sessions, tailored to the clients goals, energetic architecture and experience. Whether new to breathwork or advanced, James meets clients wherever they are at, to bring greater health and wellbeing, deepen their practice and guide them to live more fully from their true self.
James combines a range of breathwork practices and energy work, holding a safe container for whatever arises to be healed or integrated.
Following sessions people report feeling greater balance, clarity and vitality, as well as a deeper sense of presence in their body and mind. The practice ultimately encourages higher levels of conscious awareness and an overall feeling of wellbeing. Clients also leave with a strong range of tools to take into the rest of their life.

Group Sessions:
James offers regular group Breathwork sessions online.
Sessions include embodiment practices to warm up the system and feel a greater presence in the body. Breathing techniques to restore balance, greater flow and to let go. Followed by breathing into the more subtle areas of your consciousness, to rest more peacefully in your heart, connecting with your true nature.
Clients enjoy breathing as a group and report feeling greater balance, clarity and vitality, as well as a deeper sense of presence in their body and mind.

Experience
Breathwork and pranayama have been instrumental in James’ healing and awakening journey. Beginning with Tibetan Buddhist pranayama techniques over 15 years ago, when he started sitting long term silent meditation retreats. Since then he has studied and practiced the full range of modern breathwork methods, as well as other yogic schools of breath practice.
In 2016 he trained as a breathwork facilitator with Las Piramides Meditation Center in Guatemala, focussing on ancient Pranayama Kriyas to clear subconscious emotional blockages from the nervous system. Most recently he completed the Yoga LAP Breathwork Instructor program grounded in scientific method.
James combines his wealth of experience of breathwork with other healing modalities to facilitate accessible and truly transformational breath journeys; supporting clients into greater health and wholeness.
